Unum Vox
Unum Vox is a choir for 9th-12th graders who live in the five counties that make up East Central Minnesota. The group first started in the Early 2000’s and has continuously provided extra music opportunities to students throughout the East Central Area. Alexander Blegen
Grace Larson
Unum Vox - Director
A native of North Branch, Minnesota, Alexander Blegen is the conductor of Unum Vox. He is also the Vocal Music director at Milaca High School where he conducts the 7-12 curricular, extracurricular choirs, and teaches individual voice lessons.
Prior to his position at Milaca he served as Interim Choral Director at New Ulm Middle School, as well as the Choral Director at Our Savior Lutheran Church. He has worked with all three of the curricular ensembles at Gustavus Adolphus College, directing them in concert at the Basilica dei Santi Giovannie e Paolo in Venice as well as at Christ Chapel. Alexander also founded a student chamber ensemble during his time at Gustavus.
He is active as a singer with the Northern Lights Chorale as well as holding an internship with the group in 2023. Alexander is a 2023 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College where he received his degree in Vocal Music Education with honors in conducting.
Unum Vox - Colaborative Pianist
Grace grew up in Cambridge and has been accompanying choirs since she was in high school at Cambridge-Isanti. Grace is a collaborative pianist with a B.A. in Music and English from the University of Notre Dame.
She currently lives in Cambridge. She is the staff accompanist at Common Ground: A United Methodist Community. She has a long history of working with choirs and musical theater in the area. Grace also recently accompanied for the Mississippi 8 Honors Choir festival.
When away from the keys, she enjoys reading, crafting and spending time with her cat.
